GDPR and Volunteering
On 25 May this year, data protection law changed with the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It is a significant change for all organisations that hold and process personal data and will have an impact throughout your organisation, including volunteers and volunteering.
This session will give you the opportunity to talk to other volunteer coordinators about:
-
The impact of GDPR on your volunteering programme
-
What your organisation has put in place in relation to GDPR and volunteers
-
What else you can do to make sure your volunteering programme is robust in regard to data management
We are delighted that we will be joined in this session by Shaun Delaney, volunteering development manager at NCVO. Shaun recently presented an NCVO event entitled 'GDPR and the volunteering journey'.
The session will begin at 9.30am with the opportunity to network with other volunteer coordinators.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
